The Forge: a formation cohort - Fall '25-Spring'26

Are you interested in deepening your walk with Jesus, but you’re not quite sure where to go or what to do? Do you long for a space where you can have the real, hard conversations about what it means to follow Jesus? Are you looking to experience more of Jesus in your daily life? Do you desire to be a leader, but feel like you are unequipped or unready?

We have an opportunity for you. This school year Pastor Scott will be leading a “formation cohort;” a group of people gathered around the ideas of discipleship, spiritual formation, awakening, and leadership. This isn’t just another course or Sunday school, this is a high-expectation, high-commitment, high-intentionality learning community for people who feel there is something more to following Jesus than they are experiencing. My goal is to pass on the best distillation of what I have learned about walking with Jesus over my lifetime and to explore what God is teaching us in real-time.

This group is open to anyone who wants to participate AND is willing to meet the group expectations; 1) ~80% attendance, 2) spiritual practices, 3) reading and homework, and 4) open, honest conversation. Think of it like an incubator or a greenhouse, a place designed to turn up the heat and accelerate growth; a forge where you can be shaped into a tool that God can use to serve the Church and carry His presence to the world. This will be a place to roll up your sleeves and wrestle with what it looks like to be apprenticed by Jesus in our modern world.

An informational meeting will take place in the Great Room during the Fellowship Time (10:00-10:20am) on September 14, 2025. Come, find out more, and ask any questions you may have.
