What To Expect When You Come
No matter which service you attend, you're welcome to come as you are. you're just as likely to meet someone in a jacket as you are to meet someone in jeans. The sermon is the same (mostly) in each service and runs 20-30 minutes. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. But there are a few differences between our two services....
If you come at 9:00am:
There will be a traditional worship service taking place in the sanctuary. The music in this service is mostly hymns on the organ or piano, we recite a creed and the Lord's Prayer, and sometimes there is a responsive reading or call to worship. At the same time, there are Sunday school classes available for all ages; children, youth, and adults.
At 10:00am, there's a fellowship time in the parlor with coffee and tea, and occasionally something sweet and tasty.
If you come at 10:30am;
The service in the sanctuary will be led by our worship team and the music will be more contemporary. We might also say a creed together or recite the Lord's Prayer, but that tends to be more occasional than every week. There's a nursery available for kids through preschool and kids in K-5 are dismissed before the message for a children's church time. There is also an adult Sunday school class that meets during this time.
